VAMPIRE IN FOOTBALL:
PICTURES: AGAIN SUAREZ BITES ANOTHER PLAYER
Fast forward 10 months later and he's done it again. During the Italy-Uruguay match that took place June 24th, Suarez appeared to bite Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini's shoulder (pictures above). Continue..
Suarez is
seen chasing Giorgio for the ball and then suddenly both men fall to the
ground, with Suarez clutching his teeth as if in pain while Chiellini pulls his
shirt down to show the referee the bite marks on his shoulder. Unfortunately
the referee didn't see the attack so didn't penalize Suarez but thankfully
cameras captured it and people expect Suarez to be sanctioned again.
This is
months after Suarez and his club manager claimed he'd changed his ways.

UNI-ABUJA SHUT DOWN
The management of the University of Abuja on Monday shut down the institution following students protest over the ongoing indefinite strike embarked upon by the academic staff of the school.
This is contained in a circular signed by the university’s registrar, Mohammed Modibo.
The circular said the Vice Chancellor, James Adelabu, had on behalf of the senate, approved the closure of the institution until further notice.
“I am directed to inform you that given the prevailing situation in the university, the Vice Chancellor, has on behalf of the senate, approved that the university be closed down until further notice,” it
said.
The circular directed the students to vacate hostels and university premises immediately, adding that further development would be communicated to them.
The circular was pasted at the university gate late on Monday.
The protesting students had earlier gathered at the university staff quarters at Giri, near Gwagwalada, with mats insisting to see the Vice Chancellor.
They said they would not leave the area until the strike was called off.
Some of the students lamented that they are at the receiving end whenever there is a strike.
They urged the university authority to dialogue and put an end to the strike.

Memorable Opening Match goals
FIFA.com
FIFA.com relives
the first goals scored at FIFA World Cups™ over recent decades dating
back to Erwin Vandenbergh’s shock winner over holders Argentina in 1982.
More recently Siphiwe Tshabalala’s remarkable strike for South Africa four years ago set the Rainbow Nation alight, a feat Neymar and Co will be aiming to reproduce in Sao Paulo as Brazil 2014 kicks-off.
The Opening Match has a habit of producing both memorable moments and upset results, highlighted by Francois Omam-Biyik’s astonishing header as Cameroon stunned Argentina in 1990, and Papa Bouba Diop’s winner for Senegal against France 12 years later.

HAZARD TO WEAR NUMBER 10
Posted on: Tue 03 Jun 2014
The Player of the Year will change from his existing number 17, which he has worn for the previous two years.
Hazard said: 'I am very pleased to be able to wear the number 10 for Chelsea.
'It is my favourite number and is one I am used to wearing for the national team, as well as the one worn by some of my heroes from when I was a kid, like Zinedine Zidane.
'I hope it brings me a lot of luck in the future and I look forward to the fans seeing me in it next season.'
The previous incumbent of the number 10 was Juan Mata, who departed for Manchester United in January after two-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge. He replaced Yossi Benayoun in 2011, while the Israeli had taken the shirt following Joe Cole's departure the previous summer after eight years as our number 10.
